Latin Beauty Academy implements assessments for safety and security to provide educators with an independent appraisal of safety measures already in place, and recommendations for enhancing those measures with improvements at the facility. Administration uses our security assessments in multiple ways:
School safety assessments are addressed to the student’s concerns and needs and designed to help educators be proactive, not reactive, with school safety. Safety and Security Services are important for our school security assessments to reflect both the positive safety measures already in place, as well as the areas for continued planning and improvement.
Latin Beauty Academy provides this information in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act*, the College and University Security Information Act, and the Drug Free Schools and Campuses Act.
Latin Beauty Academy has designed that upon confirmation of a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving a crime (occurring either on or off institution), which is supported by the Greenacres City Police ongoing or continuing threat to the health and safety of students or staff.
In addition, our administration will issue an immediate notice to students and employees. The school bulletin in the crime alert session and timely warnings will be distributed via e-mail, and cell message.
This information is required under public law 102.26. The following data will provide you with campus security policies and statistics concerning the occurrence of criminal offenses on our campus. Any students may be a witness of a crime in progress or are the victim of a crime, Latin Beauty Academy, Inc. requests that they follow this procedure:
Latin Beauty Academy, Inc. does not recognize any of campus organizations that would be covered under this act. The purpose and authority of Campus Security Personnel is limited to securing the premises and protecting the facility. The enforcement authority of campus security personnel is limited to the enforcement of campus rules and regulations. Incidents that go beyond the scope of campus security personnel are referred to and investigated by the local enforcement agency, if applicable.
To ensure the accurate and prompt reporting of all crimes, authorized administrative personnel will take a full written statement from involved parties and witnesses of all reported emergency or criminal incidents. The written statements are included as part of a written report and such statements may be used by campus security personnel (if applicable) and local/state law enforcement authorities for the purpose of criminal apprehension and/or crime prevention. The institution’s administrative staff may also review criminal incidents for the purpose of disciplinary action.
All students are informed about campus security procedures and practices on orientation date or the first day of class. Everyone should remember that personal safety begins with any student. The following should be considered:
If applicable and reasonably available, the institution will change the academic situation of a student after an alleged sex offense.
If any disciplinary proceedings are held in cases of an alleged sex offense, both the accuser and the accused have the right to have others present. Both the accuser and the accused will be informed o the institution’s final determination, of any disciplinary proceeding and any sanction imposed against the accused.
The following sanction may be imposed regarding rape, acquaintance rape or other forcible or non-forcible sex offense: Expulsion
The institution is in compliance with the drug free schools and communities act of 1989 (public law 101-226). All students and employees should refer to the school catalog for information concerning the campus policies and individual responsibilities required under this act.
* Clery Act: The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Clery Act, 20 U. S. C. §1092(f) is part of the Higher Education Act, and is enforced by the U.S. Department of Education. It requires institutions of higher education participating in federal student financial aid programs to report specified crime statistics on college campuses and to provide other safety and crime information to members of the campus community. There is a penalty of $25,000 for each violation of the regulations that define the reporting requirements.
This publication is also made available in print form to students and employees.
Latin Beauty Academy encourages vaccinations as one of the first health measures between students, faculty and staff. Our institution promotes vaccination policies for seasonal pathogens (flu), as well as based on OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, mostly for people who are reasonably anticipated to have exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Latin Beauty Academy does not recommend vaccinations for medical reasons.
